HEART OF GLASS
WEARABLE GLASS ART - GLASS JEWELRY
UNIQUE JEWELRY DESIGNS - DICHROIC GLASS
What’s new at Heart of Glass?
I live in country NSW
I live in country NSW , Australia on 60 acres of unspoilt trees and bush, with views overlooking rolling hills.
My nearest town is Crookwell, 52 kilometers away, a small country town with all the essential services for civilized daily living. Some of my work is on display at the
Crookwell Visitors Centre.
I am a member of the Goulburn and District Arts and Crafts Incorporated. This is an umbrella organisation for artisans, artists and crafts people in our regional area. We have quilters, felters, textile artists, paint and print artists, silversmiths...the list is endless. We exhibit our works for sale at "On the Track Gallery" in Goulburn.
Truly, wearable glass art!
I am experimenting with long, rectangular pieces. These pieces are about 14 cms long and 4 to 6 cms wide. Because of the size and the weight I am trying to work to three or four layers of glass, and no more. I want the piece to sit across the body, but I cannot find a strong enough attachment. Solution, make my own! I am about to embark on a metal working course for jewelry makers. Who knows where this will take me?
I am also working on big octagonal pieces, about 6 to 8 cms wide, with a central dichroic glass feature. I am already making smaller versions of this design in my Enso range, but these big pieces are something else again! Always with matching earrings, may be a brooch, a ring?
For those of us who keep losing our spectacle, but refuse to wear those boring old spectacle chains, look at this..

and this to hook your spectacles into. With matching ear rings?

As always, neckpieces can be attached by gold or silver plated fittings with 4mm black rubber, 4mm black leather, choker or chain.
